Hot take: new drives should use 4K LBAs by default. Maybe have an option in drive migration tools to switch to 512 byte sectors for cloning from old drives but really 512 byte sectors should go the way of the dinosaur.

Edit: This isn’t a Firefox-exclusive issue, it just happened to affect Firefox users the most since it has tracking protection enabled by default. Other browser users also have had that issue too. If user agent switching works, it’s likely due to A/B testing shenanigans.

Ironically there is a filter snippet that ublock origin users can use to bypass the artificial delay:
