My only thought about this is that I wish people would stop using awards on comments lol. You're giving the site money! Feel like I gotta spray users with a water bottle like no, no, stop that

it's hard to grok with the idea that "AI" tools are here to help us when the NEDA and other companies like it immediately use it to replace a team that was in the midst of unionizing.

the darkly funny part about this story is that the bot was giving terrible advice within 4 days of it being installed - the team was still a few more days from being officially fired and it was already a disaster

cool future very cool future

YES I GET TO TALK ABOUT GOOP

In NakeyJakey’s The Last of Us 2 video he describes a condition he has called Goopy Goblin Gamer Brain. Having GGGB essentially means that your motivation and interest in games is powered almost purely by moment-to-moment gameplay. Anything that gets in the way of gameplay, like:

  • Stealth/Trailing sequences
  • Overly long, unskippable cutscenes / game sequences where you just stand around to look at how pretty a game is
  • Long Tutorials

is a threat to Goopy Goblin Gamer Brain.

I have Goopy Goblin Gamer Brain. A very bad case, if I’m being honest. It’s the reason why I can’t stand games like The Last of Us, Red Dead Redemption 2, and other “prestige-type” games. It's the reason why I am a big fan of a lot of Japanese games, which tend to focus very heavily on mechanical systems.

So when I say a game is "goopy," this is what I mean. Maybe the movement system is godlike (Gravity Rush, Infamous 2, Forspoken). Maybe it has really deep customization mechanics (Bravely Second, Final Fantasy Tactics, Etrian Odyssey). Maybe the pew pews feel good (Apex Legends). Maybe it's a Ys game (Ys).

I used to use scrivener, then Ulysses, lately I use Capacities which is similar to Obsidian (the latter which you might be interested in using!)

Point being as you can see I am not immune to shiny new apps every few months lol

the best part about this is that it means the Jet Set Radio game is coming too :D

there's a shot where it showed a floor that's exactly where it was in the original, I doubt it's been changed much tbh but we'll see!

ASUS ROG Ally Updated Review (30 Days Later) (www.youtube.com)

Retro Game Corps has just posted a 30 day review of the Ally. As someone who has pre-ordered I found it quite interesting. As expected, the major down side to this device is the battery. Fortunately, my main reason for purchasing this is to do some gaming on my commute to work. As I'm only on the subway for 25 min, this should...

I love RGCs channel but I also wish he'd stop making me crave handhelds I definitely don't need

Gravity Rush 2 for me. I have save I've kept for years now to fly around and explore the city. I already have done everything, but it's still so fun and relaxing to find new landmarks or walk through the different districts. Feels like the kind of game world I'd love to live in (assuming a gravity girl didn't pull me into her orbit and launch me into space)
