In order to ensure that updates from Modrinth get the widest reach possible, we're now experimenting with posting on Threads, in addition to our existing presence on Mastodon and Twitter. Check it out: https://www.threads.net/@modrinth

This Mastodon account will still be the primary, most reliable way to get updates from Modrinth (besides Discord).

@astrelion Dunno how reliable that promise is. Besides, most Mastodon instances will probably block Threads from the get-go, which may even include our instance, which could cause problems down the line.

Again, though, keep in mind this is experimental! We may discontinue it in the future. It's worth noting that it's currently very annoying to have to use the mobile app to post on Threads.

The Aether—whether you play on modern versions or are more of an old soul—is available on Modrinth, all the way from beta 1.7.3 up to 1.19.4.

Underrated Modrinth feature of the day: Data pack authors can package their data packs as a mod for Fabric, Forge, and Quilt at the press of a button. After uploading a data pack release to Modrinth, just click the "Package as a mod" button and select your desired loaders!

We are very excited to announce the beta release of Project Odyssey, a set of open source projects that have been in the making for the past 2 months. We partnered up with the Terrarium team to help create these great new projects.

Project Odyssey consists of four mods:

Cadmus, a land claiming mod
Prometheus, a server utility mod
Heracles, a quest creation mod

We are happy to confirm that all projects created on Modrinth since our founding have been scanned and are not affected by fractureiser, and therefore are safe from the recent malware outbreak. Modrinth was not affected by this attack.

We recommend users be vigilant in the next few days, and, as always, exercise caution when downloading content from any source on the internet.
