Hello Nudie.Social,

Last week's poll result was very clear - Unanimous support for @paul to become the new owner of Nudie.Social. :agoogletada:

Few days ago, I had a meeting with Paul to work out a plan. Guess what? Tomorrow around 7-9am UTC, we'll perform the first phase of server transfer! 💻

FYI, there will be some server outage before and during the transfer. Sit tight!

@paul has offered to take over Nudie.Social. Paul is known as P.Z. Walker, one of the most prolific naturist fiction authors of our time. You probably have read some of his books.

I truly appreciate Paul's generosity, and trust that Paul will take good care of this community.

Here we are! The Fediverse magic seems to have worked flawlessly, so we are now fully migrated onto this instance.
Grateful thanks to @ninja for providing us with a home after we fled the bird-site. I hope you find your way back to some form of #naturism eventually, but best of luck for your future whatever that may hold.

Dear Nudies & Friends,

After months of considerations, I've made the difficult decision to discontinue running pl.nudie.social. Thank you all for the support in the last few years!

I, Ninja, arrived at this decision as I realised naturism/nudism lifestyle is not compatible with my faith. Also, I would like to spend more of my time and energy for my family.

Current plan is to keep the server running for a couple of month to allow existing members to migrate to other instance. There's no plan to transfer ownership of the server to other individuals, out of data privacy concerns.

Tentatively, the pl.nudie.social instance will be shut down in July 2024. New user signup is closing today.

Once again, thank you for being part of this little community. If you've any question or concern, please don't hesitate to reply to this post!

I have noticed for some time that my post count has been less than what I have posted, and this time I took screenshots of what it was, showing what is seen in the window before I open it, and what is shown when I enter it. My post count is not going up for each time I am here posting, but is brought down again to what it was before each time I return to this. My posts are disappearing? I want my posts to stay, and the real count of what I have posted showing.

Krijg ik een telefoontje dat ze het apparaat niet kunnen vinden (beetje kwalijk, dat wel), maar!!! Ze sturen nu een nieuwe, voor de tweedekans-prijs.

Our Firefish instance, Club Au Naturel is currently down. It's run by a hosting service, so I couldn't fix it myself. ETA unknown at this stage to restore the service. 🙏

Public holiday today, as well as one of the hottest days this summer.

Plan is to chill at home and at the pool. Helping the kids to re-adjust, as school term starts next week!

Not going anywhere as the beaches would be jam packed with people.

Finding blocks of time here and there to do several things:

1. write up the incident review on last week's Nudie.Social outage
2. order parts of custom keyboard
3. upgrade #Proxmox to 8.1 on the self-hosted server
4. launch some new #selfhosting services with #Dockge
