ETH to finally get the chop. Not surprised, tbh.

You’re slightly ahead of me, and you’ve saved me a minute of pain

Saliba pretty much the only player since Dixon to play every minute of every PL game

I read MLS are introducing new rules next season and I think these are some good changes worth implementing:

Off-field treatment rule• If a player is suspected of injury and remains on the ground for more than 15 seconds, the referee will stop play and call for medical staff. The player will be removed from the field and remain off for at least two minutes for evaluation and treatment.

Timed substitution rule•Substituted players must leave the field within 10 seconds. If a player doesn’t leave within 10 seconds, the incoming player must wait 60 seconds before entering.

In-stadium VAR announcements•Referees will announce and explain VAR decisions.

I’d say we’re kinda like ouroboros then. I feel like you help create a consistent structure that provides a platform for the community to flourish.

I just had a thought… what if we spent a day only posting in c/football… I didn’t say it was a good one.

I agree with you though. I burnt myself out on sport a long time ago. I used to watch a bit of everything until I hot a wall and stopped everything completely.

I started following again around the end of the Wegner era and now I usually only stick with Arsenal related content. r/football was how I kept up to date with stuff.

But, I’m glad c/gunners is active and with a range of people with open minds (at least I try to)

And they were both from set pieces, too… lol.

How can you look at that and not invest time in set pieces. I think Ange is completely wrong.

That whistle could not have come sooner… geez.

Two individual errors almost fucked us. Overall, played fairly well. But, still seeing small errors which we’re getting punished for

@nuggsy@lemmy.world avatar

Is that a Viera?? I never thought I’d see the day

I wholeheartedly agree. I don’t visit any other Arsenal communities for that reason. I think we have a good mix here. People get frustrated and vent, but I feel we’re all reasonable here and more positive than not.

This is probably the best community of Arsenal fans I’ve ever been part of.

The game is done. All we can do now is look forward and hope they learn and improve

I try to stay active, but motivation in general is a struggle (international break didn’t help either, lol). But in all honesty, it probably may have waned a lot sooner if it hadn’t been for you keeping things running.

So, I’d like to thank you for all the time and effort you’ve put in to give us a more positive space space, outside of Reddit, where we can all gather and converse about Arsenal :)

I realise it’s probably very thankless and somewhat tiring to try keep up with all of the posts and such and I am truly greatful

It is a little, but a draw is better for us than City, I think

This commentator called the ref out. Said he hasn’t done that good a job despite his “experience”.

Thank you.

Agreed, club released a statement already that Arteta denies the claims.

Seems Sergio is a sore loser and can’t accept blame for his terrible style of play costing them games.

@nuggsy@lemmy.world avatar

I’m surprised it was still that high…

nuggsy,
@nuggsy@lemmy.world avatar

As he and any everyone should. He made a mistake, we grieved, and he still stepped up in the 2nd half.

Credit to him and his character. But, I’d expect nothing less from him.

Apparently Saka apparently was feeling ill and Martinelli had a cut from an earlier tackle.

So, fingers crossed that’s all it was!

Ode sprinting to close down a player at 6-0 is fantastic to see

nuggsy,
@nuggsy@lemmy.world avatar

I mean, did we even doo anything in the first half?? gosh…

nuggsy,
@nuggsy@lemmy.world avatar

I wouldn’t say the only positive. It looks like they’ve also made it a little easier for everyone to get home earlier

@nuggsy@lemmy.world avatar

Sucks to hear, matey. We all go through rough patches. Hopefully things pick up soon :)

Definitely hope we put one over them! I’d like Havertz to score a goal or 2. I want him to do well just so my Chelskie mate can eat his words xD
