If you're Muslim or have acquaintances who are, I found a pretty good halal ramen place in Ikebukuro called Toribushi. Certified, and all chicken. Would probably satisfy kosher, too. If you're in north-central-west Tokyo, give it a try!

What are your nominations for CS/CE papers of the last decade (or so), ones that will show up in textbooks or change the fabric of what we do and how for decades to come?

Based on a query by Farber, after I showed him the book Ideas that Created the Future, with seminal papers up through 1979.

We have good biopics of Nash, Hawking, Turing, Ramanujan and Oppenheimer. Obviously, to make a good film, they not only have to be brilliant but also to have a truly compelling story.
