Internet, please. Recipes with fewer ingredients are not somehow better, or more virtuous. Forget Pollan’s Food Rules; he wasn’t talking about this. “Three Ingredient Bolognese!” isn’t a thing. Stop it.

Specifically, if you keep suggesting that we just pour watery cooked oatmeal into a waffle iron (Quick oat waffles! One ingredient!) I am fucking coming for you.

For my first 30 years, I was not an adventurous* eater. I’m still trying to compensate for it. Today I tried pozole for the first time. I’ll certainly make it again, but with extra hominy.

*I know pozole is not adventure food. It’s comfort soup. You know what I mean.

I just deleted my Instagram account. It wasn’t political, or in protest, or anything like that, although it probably should have been. I deleted it because they found a new way to firehose me with hot diarrhea (Suggested For You!) and I just can’t take it anymore. As far as social media go, I’m down to this and texting, basically.

Thinking about a ttrpg campaign where the elemental plane of fire invades the prime material, and there is a sympathetic network of air and water elementals that create some livable spaces for primes to travel through. Occasionally you can find potions to sustain you on journeys through the killing heat, but there are consequences of drinking too many.

I’m in Florida and it is so very hot out. What game mechanic would best represent the danger of diabetes from having too many slushies?

So I’m forgetting words now. I used to have a vocabulary. That’s over.

I asked @toolbear if he wanted me to make “chickpea mousse”, because I couldn’t remember “hummus”.

I stared at him, trying to remember the word, while the scared “you’re having a stroke” look on his face got worse and worse, until I just gave up and ballparked it.
