Ah, not for me, but I am sure many people will be very excited with this.

Would be interesting to see Call of Duty in few years, and how MS changed (or didn’t change) it.

That’s interesting info.

Though if they are officially licensed accessory maker, after releasing this info, I doubt they will remain one for long.

Well, it did have a strong start. It was highest sold Bethesda games, IIRC.

As for the how the game played, that’s a completely separate matter.

I don’t want any part of my brain to start hoping for another well-made, top-down Fallout game. That time has unfortunately passed.

Without the use of AI. If they can use AI to make themselves look bad cheaper and quicker, that’s just win win! 😀

(I still like Bethesda BTW, though my expectations from their next games are at all time low)

That’s a serious problem in AAA development these days. Hopefully they can find a way to improve it.

AI can probably help with it, not as a way to replace humans but to complement and help them get things faster.

I would actually like that. I have found that now I enjoy smaller games a lot more than big ones, but I don’t see this happening any time soon. Publishers want you playing their games longer and longer, so that they can sell you cosmetics and other micro transactions. Also, when advertising, 1000 planets sounds more impactful than 5 planets.

Hopefully at least some of them will learn.

Yeah, and MS bought inXile too, so maybe there could be something here. Though they too have switched to first person view for their next game.

One really neat QOL feature is the ability to take screenshots and attach them to the map, makes it easier for you to remember “why didn’t I go this path” or “which powerup did I need to go that direction”.

That’s a nice. I often wish for something like this in metroidvania. Also, like when death isn’t a big penalty. I am having that issue with Ori and the Blind Forest right now. Out of energy to save, so have to do a particular bit of platforming and pick stuff up again when I die, but it’s almost a decade old game, so this can be forgiven.

I am all for devs trying out new thing. And when you try out new things, sometimes they don’t do as well as the tried and tested option, but that’s the cost of innovation.

Personally I didn’t have much issue with it, except for that small patch in Forlon Ruins. Though hope they improved these things in the sequel.

What did you think about the “censorship” patch? I haven’t looked it in detail, but apparently people were pretty upset about it.

Didn’t know there was a Starship Trooper game in development / early access. It looks like first person Helldivers, which makes sense, as Helldivers seems heavily inspired by Stareship Troopers.

Have you played Helldivers 2?

Only 1 or 2 games, solo, when it was given away with PS+. Would see if friends are interested in giving it a try.

Yeah, I recall you mentioned that before. Not going to play it right after Blind Forest though. Have a long list of other games to go through first.
