I never stated whether I was pro or con guns, so I don’t need the lecture. I was simply pointing out that you can’t just sit out an election cycle when it comes to human rights
I don’t see how putting human rights on hold will somehow make things work any faster, better or more efficiently. I always want to comment but notifications can be so stressful that on most platforms I usually end up just lurking. Lemmys been pretty decent so far, it reminds a little of early internet messageboards where most people were more into discussing something interesting than trolling or one-uping someone for internet points or ego boosts or whatever weird reasons people are assholes on the internet. That’s not called censorship, that’s called consequence (and like you said, court of public opinion). Censorship means they wouldn’t have been able to make their shitty remark in the first place. The consequence of public opinion is a result of having been free to say what they want to begin with. Sounds more like you want no consequences for actions and that’s a very different thing.
I’m not that surprised, the playlists with Satan in the title tend to be targeted. For instance when I found this one it was called Satanic Rituals & Chill, and when I went to post it a few weeks ago the title was now blank. I think spotifys reporting system automatically does this when it’s flagged, it’s pretty shitty
