Just because I was curious which platform takes the smallest cut:
Patreon takes 8%, plus payment processing (I assume another 3-5%). Let's call it 12%.
Buy Me a Coffee seems to take 5%, and Stripe takes 2.9%. Basically 8%.
Liberapay apparently takes 0% themselves, but 3-5% goes to payment processing through Stripe or Paypal **on average (thanks @MHLoppy!)*. The site is funded by people who directly support the Liberapay account itself lmao. So ~4% puts them in the clear lead.
I know Patreon is basically a household name at this point, but if you're open to a bit of change I'd encourage folks to use Liberapay!
/kbin is certainly not dying, as @fr0g pointed out, work on new features and bug fixes is ongoing. However, it may give the impression that it is, and for that, I take full responsibility and owe you an explanation....
Several Peel District School Board students, parents and community members are concerned about a seemingly inconsistent approach to a new book weeding process intended to ensure school library books are inclusive, but that appears to have led some schools to remove thousands of books published in 2008 or earlier.
Since then, over 230 pull requests have been accepted. I had a branch where I was working on this, but a lot of code has changed in the meantime - among other things, ex the markdown implementation has been rewritten and, in fact, some of it is now outdated. Many files will still change and be rewritten before the release.
Before the first release, it will be done properly, and I will probably seek help and consultation from the right people https://codeberg.org/Kbin/kbin-core/pulls/937. Currently, in the project's readme, I've clearly indicated that kbin is inspired by Postmill. Unfortunately, recently I've been overwhelmed by some personal matters, which caused me to neglect certain things. Now I'm doing everything to bring kbin to the appropriate state.

Is Kbin dying? I wanted to address the deleted thread and provide some insight into the current situation.

A reminder that kbin is still violating the zlib license of Postmill (the software that powers Raddle) (raddle.me)
