If you were going anywhere in the 40s that wasnt in walking distance you were doing so either on a rail or a boat. The majority of people didnt own horses. Do you know how horses work? Where the fuck are people living in berlin gonna keep a horse? You know they had electric trolleys all over the US and Europe by the 20s right?
