By posting another question here I realized, that I really enjoy games which are ‘short’ (Play start to finish in around one hour) and have lots of replay value....
Never played Contra 4, just the NES Contra and Super Contra, is Contra 4 worth to play?
I have to admit I did not even notice that there are no sprites. What the demo totally nailed are crisp controls, pacing and mostly level design. (Mostly, because my nit picks would be, that the weapon pods/upgrades use the same red as the enemies, which makes them hard to see sometimes, and even in Arcade mode there are some animations (helicopter crash, boss on top of the waterfall) which are so long they break the flow, a little bit too easy for a Contra.
Do I miss a magic config file for headless setups?
Why do you suggest Ubuntu Core over Core/Micro OS or Fedora IoT?
I know of dietpi, but I don’t see any benefits compared to a properly configured Raspbian setup (The smaller memory footprint and lower process count is IMHO offset by having an additional party in my software supply chain).
The setups are security critical and at the same time, I would like to have one setup which I can ‘forget’ about until the hardware fails. Daily backups are done and of course my servers are provisioned automatically.
Nice, looks exactly like what I was looking for, thank you so much! :-)
One more question: Can I put the created ignition file somewhere on the SD card like /boot or do I need an additional USB pen drive for it? Just found this 4 years old reddit answer, which looks not promising. It seems the official documentation also insists on an additional media for the ignition file, or could I just use an /ignition folder on the SD card itself?
When watching movies, I always try to differentiate between my personal enjoyment and the inherent merits of the movies. There are a lot of bad movies, which I totally and thoroughly enjoy watching, and some really great movies, which I don’t enjoy that much, but still can respect/appreciate....
It is a long time ago, when I read the books, and I liked, that they where very political and changed the narrator often (if I remember correctly). To say, I kept them in good memory w/o the urge of reading them ever again. ;-)
Thank you very much for your reply and the ‘Trigun’ tip!
I was not too impressed by the cinematography, the pictures are nice, but nothing compared to the like of ‘Drive’ (… and Drive has basically no story, but I will enjoy it from time for time for its beautiful cinematography and soundtrack), ‘Pan’s labyrinth’ or the first season of True Detective.
Yes, sorry about the acting, but IMHO Chalamet’s acting is quite wooden.
I totally agree that the movie looks very good, that’s part of the high production values I mentioned.
Concerning the characters, we seem also to be in agreement: I would have loved to see more of the non Femen factions, their motivations and pressures.
Anyway, thank you very much for your input, as mentioned somewhere else, I’ll have to watch the first Dune again, perhaps I’ll find a liking for it in the second try.
Although I totally agree, the 2nd season was much weaker than the first, it had its moments and is still very watchable (after a slow start). Season one is really outstanding, the acting, camera and story are so good!
The original Cowboy Bebop series. Brilliant episodes with a great story arc, good characters and awesome Jazz soundtrack. The first few episodes do the overall experience no justice.
Short games with lots of replay value?

What games do you replay regularly/annually ?
Inspired by a similar question on reddit:...
Contra: Operation Galuga - Demo is online, release 12th of March (store.steampowered.com)
Contra is back. A real, honest, bitching 2D Contra....
What software you consider so bad it made you happy when you left your job?
I’ve worked with some pretty rotten software, but management software is easily the most user unfriendly, so my vote goes to HPSM.
Turnkey ready immutable distribution to server podman containers for headless raspberry pi 4?
I want to configure a Raspberry Pi 4 as a web (application) server....
Why are Denis Villeneuve's Dune movies loved by audience and critics?

What movie or show you didn't know was THAT good until you watched it?
Indirectly asking for recommendations on what to watch.
