With spez ascending the last few remaining levels of becoming an absolute wanker, it's about time I got more active and I have been wondering how should I be using Lemmy efficiently? Like many I migrated from Reddit and I was primarly using Apollo to browse through my subscribed subreddits....
In my own personal experience, Lemmy is significantly easier to understand than Mastodon was. I think the communities make discovery easier and you end up with a decent feed without as much effort.
As someone who works in cybersecurity, I do not know anyone who uses the term cracker. Everyone I know refers to themselves and other people in the industry as hackers.

I’ve tried unsuccessfully several times over the last 24 hours and the only reason I’m here now is I finally thought back to how I originally got onto the site was through...
Your login only works on the instance you signed up for. It won’t work on other Lemmy instances, but you can still access any content across all the different lemmy sites by searching for it on the one you have an account for.
So far it’s just commenting and upvoting. The mobile interface isn’t the best tbh, but I’m hoping to dive into everything on desktop when I have time this weekend.

Hypothetically speaking, if Reddit back tracks on their API plan and meets all of the communities expeditions- would you go back to Reddit?
I myself am really on the fence about this....
