I didn’t like this first episode…

I didn’t care for any of the characters, the big fight looked expensive to animate, but there was never any sense that the sword dude was ever in danger.

Nor did I get any sense of the plot’s direction or why I should care.

Probably a drop for me.

Like a lot of isekai first episodes, this was a good start.

I do like the evil-classmates-kill-em-all idea

But of course, it’s all about whether the writing can sustain the quality and surprise.

I really liked this start!

The MC is bumped onto the monster track of progress and growth.

I enjoyed his funny cartoony thought process.

It’s the opposite of Skeleton Knight In Another World, where the main character skeleton starts extremely strong.

I read the manhwa too, and so far it’s being faithful, and it was nice touch to have additional explanations of this world up front graphically animated without being talky.

Good so far.

Yes, I also agree that a double episode premiere would have been more effective, because we haven’t seen what this story is really about.

The prisoner, Dotson, was “found dead” so who knows how many hours the body was lying there.

That pretty much precludes any use of the heart for transplant.

His relatives said they received the body in a decomposed state, but that could have been poor storage by the coroner before or after the autopsy, or the body might have been well hidden inside the prison so it was a long time before someone found it.

The article isn’t very clear on the condition of the body at each stage of handling.

What’s in the article is probably all the information that the reporter could get out of the prison authority, the state Department of Forensic Sciences, and the University.

A promising start so far.

Usato and the other characters seem interesting and likeable so far.

It’s not really clear yet why Healing magic is so bad, but I suppose we’ll find out

It’s kind of a shock to see Sein leave so soon after joining the party. We might or might not see him again, or find out how his search for Gorilla went.

The OP shows us a second female mage joining the party, but doesn’t show the party without Sein yet, so maybe we’ll see him again…

The woman living alone where the Frost Cherry Tree village used to be didn’t explain why the village disappeared…

A total-non-adventure episode…

A new test for Ayanakoji, and the newly promoted Class C, this time split into mixed groups with upper and lower classmates.

This first episode was about what is expected for this show, which is good if you enjoy this kind of writing.

    I’m finding the time to watch a lot more shows this season, and so far I’m finding enjoyment in the first episodes of some unexpected titles:

    • Mahou Shoujo ni Akogarete • Gushing over Magical Girls - Villain POV with S&M lewdness
    • Sokushi Cheat - Kill all the evil classmates in an isekai. Kind of a similar vibe to The Executioner And Her Way Of Life
    • Nozomanu Fushi no Boukensha • The Unwanted Undead Adventurer - An adventurer unexpectedly joins the monster track of advancement and starts from being a weak skeleton
    • Chiyu Mahou no Machigatta Tsukaikata: Senjou wo Kakeru Kaifuku Youin • The Wrong Way to Use Healing Magic - An average student gets sucked into an isekai. All likeable characters so far.

    Sousou No Freiren continues to be a strong show.

    Solo Leveling - I’ve enjoyed the manhwa, and this first episode is okay, it could have been longer to get to the key plot mechanic.

    Conversely, I was disappointed by the first episode of the highly anticipated Dungeon Meshi/Delicious In Dungeon, which is fine. Some shows take a few episodes for the writing to gain traction.

    I can’t believe GS wouldn’t take on a dungeon or potential city full of goblins without preparing something special like the firehose scroll.

    Republicans allegedly want to give those funds to the Border Patrol and to build the Great Wall, not to feed your theoretical homeless woman.

    Actually they don’t really care about that either, which is why an additional $14 billion for border security isn’t enough for them.
