Cavalier7435,

Do people have to drive all the way across the country every single day? The size of the country does not dictate its dependency on the automobile. North American cities were walkable before the car and they can be walkable again. Car dependency is a result of policy not the size of the country.

Cavalier7435,

Worker coops are wildly underappreciated. I'm a big fan of "workers' right to first refusal". If a business owner is selling, the workers have a given amount of time to match that offer and buy it themselves.

This little propaganda piece from Business Insider really shows how the rich think. (www.businessinsider.com)

In this recent Business Insider article, millennial real estate agent David Ravitz presented his case against long-term homeownership. It’s crucial, though, to critically examine the underlying messages and implications of this piece. In what may seem like an innocuous lifestyle feature on the surface, Business Insider has,...

Cavalier7435,

OP, you put wayyy too much thought into this piece of clickbait. I'm not saying your points are wrong, but Business Insider is pretty much accepted as tabloid trash today. Giving it this much time (and another share!) is only helping whatever stupid cause they have.

@calyxOS, I'm having audio issues since the last update. I'm running the OS on a Pixel 4a (5g). I rebooted my phone to install the latest update yesterday afternoon. Audio does not work on videos from NewPipe, YouTube.com, antennapod, etc.

No audio comes through during calls. Speakerphone button defaults to ON and cannot be unselected. None of the other buttons are pressable.

Is this issue unique to me? What can I do to fix this?

Cavalier7435,

What about Die Hard 15: John McClane vs Predator?

Cavalier7435,

Hopefully the next model will work with more than just T Mobile.

Cavalier7435,

I assume the first image is from Phoenix. Where is second from?

Oh my goodness, YES. https://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2023/07/fairphone-is-coming-to-america/. Now I can recommend something to laypeople. This is amazing. Repairability is paramount to me. And now I could even upsell the older phones the family have to replace them with this. (https://jacky.wtf/2023/7/Uo53)

Cavalier7435,

@jalcine, two questions-

  1. Will it be easy to install if it already comes with ?

  2. When I was looking to buy a fairphone, I learned that there was essentially a network issue. If I buy one of these phones, is it fair to assume it will work with my carrier?

Can @calyxOS

Cavalier7435,

*Can @calyxOS comment on those questions?

Cavalier7435,

@calyxos, thank you!

Cavalier7435,

Man, the sovereign citizen thing has really gotten off the ground in a horrible way. I was only vaguely aware of the concept a year ago. In the last year I have heard/read more and more of it.

This is the second bit of sovereign citizen nonsense that I've read today.
