I ended up with Microshift budget stuff on my rebuilt Walmart hardtail, and it's all been great. I think I ended up with a cassette on my fatbike too as I lost my old modded XT after I went SS for a few years.

Anyone using their retro machines to make music or for live use? I experimented with making live Acid music with a C64, using Mssiah, and a 303, etc. The timing of the 303 clone wanders sync too much as is but maybe adding a better midi clock like a modern drum machine to help keep it all synced.

Thought, opinions?

    Random observation post

    I've unfortunately been to a lot of medical centers and hospitals in the last year or two. I actually thought it a great idea to continue use of masks in those settings. I had hoped this would be the new thing to do, and it would be maintained for the foreseeable future.

    As I sit here yet again in an ER, I note this is no long the case. 25% of people coming in, and zero of the staff. Sigh.... Of all the settings it makes sense and probably always should have.
