@InduperatorRex I have been having a blast. I though I would end up refunding it, but so far I got 10 hours and I want to keep playing. It gets more fun as you play as more weapons start to unlock for you giving you something to look forward to as you progress.
I asked on the general gaming mag, but I'll ask here too - would you recommend the Flip? Is it easy to carry around in your pocket and does it have better performance when it comes to PS2 and Gamecube games compared to the 2+?
@InduperatorRex I've not used the flip personally, but I hear the criticisms focus on the reliability of the hinge, the somewhat restricted angle of the screen, touch interactions with an upper screen, no dedicated home/back buttons, the fan doesn't have much of an effect, and the fact that it has slide pads (if you don't like those).
On the other end, you get analog triggers, greater pocketability, the the slide pads being more inset makes for a more comfortable grip by default than the 3/3+ design, a bigger battery, two additional programmable buttons (which will be able to be used as back/home buttons with an update), and apparently the black bars on the sides of 4:3 content isn't as jarring when it's on a top screen.
Has anyone tried the Retroid Pocket Flip? I already had the 2+ but I couldn't find an easy way to carry it around so I'm thinking the Flip might be ideal
