Yes I'm happy to pay money to Google when they make a reasonably priced phone with decent hardware and don't restrict the ability to install a custom OS.
This should be the last monthly update before OS 7.1 and it’s a good one! We have new releases of our office productivity apps, including several new features in Mail, a much more personal Login & Lock Screen experience with improved accessibility, and a couple of large redesigns in System Settings. Plus, for our developers we...
So I installed i2p on a Linux Mint VM. I’m able to see i2p sites, but I’m also able to browse clearnet sites, which I thought would not work. Does the default Linux installer configure an exit node by default?
The I2P Project itself does not run any proxies to the Internet. The I2P software includes a default outproxy: exit.stormycloud.i2p. These are run by StormyCloud Inc. https://stormycloud.org
By default, I2P comes with one outproxy configured: exit.stormycloud.i2p.
From the very bottom of this page (assuming you downloaded the i2p Java implementation -- I have no idea about the C++ version).
If you Google "what's my ip?" then you should see something like "Your IP address is 144.172.118.151 in Spring, Texas, United States (77387)", which makes sense since StormyCloud Inc. is apparently based in Texas.
The qBittorrent 4.6.0 alpha/beta adds support for i2p torrents. There is also a checkbox to enable "Mixed Mode" where the torrent will download through i2p and the clearnet at the same time. Sounds similar to what you are describing.
Hi everyone, You may have noticed a small change on the website. From now on, upvotes work just like on Lemmy - they are equivalent to Mastodon's "favourite." You can boost a post using the button that replaced "favourite." Another change is that you can now rate and boost your own posts. Boosting has a one-time effect - it...
Please could you explain this in terms that don't reference other Fediverse systems? I don't use Lemmy or Mastodon so I'm not really sure what this means.
(Edit: ignore this point, I've just discovered that "Active" is a sort category, like "Hot", "Newest", etc.) For example what is the "Active" list? I'm guessing the list of posts that are shown on the front page? or do you mean it will push my profile to the start of the "Active People" section on the right-hand sidebar?
And if I understand correctly, the "boosts" section on my profile is viewable to everyone? Also, is there a way to unboost posts? It seems that when I click the boost button again the number of boosts goes down, but the post is not removed from my profile.
For upvotes, these only change the number that is shown on the post itself? So people will not be able to see the list of posts that I have upvoted?
