We are down to two groups of three baby boy #rats at the #Denver Animal Shelter. At three months old, I'm not sure we can really call them babies much longer. These curious critters have spent their lives at the shelter and they're growing up fast. I'm sponsoring their adoption fees, come meet them!
I tried to snap some pictures, but they are challenging photography subjects at this age.
Rats are amazing, and ours have brought so much joy to our lives.
@loosenut If you give them something to perch on, like a coffee can with some weight in it, you can usually get them to hold still long enough for a non-blurry picture. Helps if you want to weigh them as well. Good luck finding them a home!

With all the talk about posts being lost due to people deleting comments, posts, and subs going private or generally protesting, I wondered if people have an appetite for doing some work to move key bits of reddit history over to kbin/Lemmy for posterity?
I was a member of the Civcraft community for a long time. We had a pretty extensive wiki set up within Reddit, and when they switched over to new Reddit our Wiki got nuked. We lost sooo much history and archival work for Civ/Ancap Minecraft in general. Just wanted to bring this up so hopefully you can try to safeguard against a similar situation.
Today is the first anniversary of Zack and Taro's gotcha day! A whole year since we adopted these little troublemakers after Reiji's sad passing.
Looking back I can't believe how tiny they were! I mean, Taro is stil smol, but these photos are proof that even he's grown quite a bit! :blobcatinlove:
@Bard We used to weigh ours on a gram scale once a month from gotcha day to goodbye. It was interesting to watch the gains. Especially when one of the smaller ones would get a big gain late in the game and be a contender for heavy weight lol.
