I think you can only do that after you subscribe to a community. Copy the community id (change ! for @) and paste it into the kbin search bar. You should be able to subscribe and interact with posts that show up in your subscribed feed after that.

Imho. They should separate posts and articles lol. It's so confusing for first timers. But the interface is pretty clean and nice. No annoying red bubbles my ocd self has to click away.
The post vs articles thing is super annoying to me. I sort of understand the reasoning for having that Microblog thing because it makes it easier to federate with Mastodon-like instances. I just wish it didn't make posting threads confusing.
