I do like a good meatball sub

The vibe when you're a 30 year old software developer and still could never afford a house in this economy....

I absolutely love the Steam Link. I don't use it quite as much as I did before I picked up my Steam Deck, but it's the perfect way to play games on the TV with my wife when we aren't a console household. They also still ship updates for it despite not actually manufacturing it anymore. Really incredible little box.

I only use it for finding information or how tos for stuff that just doesn't have the community or information backlog on Kbin. Lots of guides for how to install stuff on the Steam Deck on Reddit, for example. Most of my friends still use reddit so I'll read any links they post too, but my primary social media is Kbin

This is an incredible article! I very much relate to the disillusionment of doing something for the sake of sales, and also find myself on a winding journey to do something that has meaning without really knowing what that is or should be. Best of luck to him!

Might it be easier to start by adding mentions of Kbin on another Wikipedia article? I've read a bunch of news articles about Kbin and most of them aren't thorough enough to really base anything off of, or they're just wrong. Most people writing articles about Kbin don't seem to have used it enough to really give a full picture of its capabilities or history

Thanks for this post!! I never would have known lurking from Kbin 😁

@jahed It's one of, if not the, biggest industries in entertainment. I don't think it'll slow down any time soon. People need to start advocating financially for better games.

Please help me choose an ink for my new Century LE Uroko-gumo!

Unfortunately I can't make a poll in this post since it has photos, maybe I'll reply to this post and try to add a poll there. If it doesn't work, please comment instead!

    The choices are:
    Montegrappa - Ravenclaw Blue
    Robert Oster - Chicago
    J. Herbin - Vert de Gris
    Diamine - Twilight

@ordinarynights I really like the Vert de Gris

It's very quiet in my local community one. Mostly just me posting about interesting stuff I hear about in my town, though I have a few people following and liking things... which is cool? I really miss the my local community subreddits, so my hope is someday others from my town stumble onto it and we can all hang out online instead of in person like a real community.

Do you derive intrinsic satisfaction from your job or see it as just a means to end?

Obviously it can be a bit of both. I’m sure a lot of those guys on Wall Street get off on the high stakes, competitive environment along with all of the benefits to being wealthy. On the other hand, some people choose jobs that don’t pay much but give them a high degree of satisfaction. But I surmise that most people,...

I'm a software developer of about 8 years, and I do genuinely enjoy software development, but I do not enjoy the "job". The concept of working on something I don't really care about to make money for a company I don't really care about when I hypothetically could be doing literally anything else with my relatively short time on this planet is frequently soul crushing. The pay does keep my family afloat though. I'm hopeful one day to find a field of software development that genuinely interests me or provides some value to my community or the environment. Until then, I struggle.

Picked up a pristine PS One, Demo One, Euro Demo 59 and Euro Demo 70. For £11 ($14).

I don't think this thing has been out of a box for more than a few days in the last 23 years. It SMELLS new.

@wiredfire @PixelBandits @gpowerf MegaMan Legends would like a word... I just went back and beat it a few months ago and, though the tank controls are janky, it's a gem of a game and I think it holds up great.

Ubisoft will delete your account if you haven't logged for some time (Even if you owned games in it) (gamerant.com)

Ubisoft claims they do not want their players to lose access to their accounts but it’s pretty clear they do want to (so they can repurchase probably), otherwise they would not implement such feature 🤷...

30 days is not nearly enough time for me to see an alert sent to my spam email lol. I probably log in to my Ubisoft once a year, at most. This is ridiculous.

How does Elite play on deck? I've got a bunch of space games I'm cycling through right now (Endless Sky, Everspace 2, Freelancer), but would love to add that one to the list!

I was bummed the Harry Potter one didn't do so well tbh. Hopefully the MH community can keep this one afloat
