@MxM111 sure thing! And I hope others do too. I just wanted to get the ball rolling, but so far its just me which feels kinda silly. Ukrainianconflict was the only "important" subreddit I visited recently, so wanted to make sure there was something similar here.
@MxM111 From what I've read, kbin magazine mods can specify hashtags for their magazines and then micro-blog content (like from Mastodon) that uses those hash-tags will show up in the Microblog for that magazine. Or people can manually create a new post in the Microblog section of a magazine. I don't think there's any other way for content from Mastodon (or any of the other fediverse microblogs) to show up in kbin. And Lemmy doesn't have that feature at all, so people seeing this from Lemmy are probably confused by the entire topic.
@zerozaku By default you start with your own vote on reddit, you can not upvote yourself more. On kbin.social, I see I start with 0 and can upvote. For example, I upvoted this post myself.
Can anyone explain how banning works in fedeverse? Say, I have account here on kbin.social and get permabaned, does it mean that I can not login at all? Or just that I can not post threads and microblogs on kbin.social? Can account still be transferred to another kbin instance? Can banned kbin account be transferred to lemmy? Same questions about if I have lemmy.ml account - I can't post anywhere if I get permabaned? Also, what if I have lemmy.ml account but got permabanded on kbin.social? Any impact on my ability to post at other kbin servers?

If you get banned from all of kbin.social, yes. It's like getting a Reddit suspension. On the other hand, if a community like Technology@beehaw.org bans you, you just can't post there, but can still post other places, like a normal Reddit ban.
I think you could still post on other beehaw communities if you're banned from Technology, or other Kbin ones if you were banned here, but I need to confirm that. That's how it should work, anyway.
If it is a self-post, that is the post without link, then what I see its copy on /d/kbin.social as a copy of original post from lemmy.ml
this is always the case. however the "linked url" will say the same website you're on if it's a "self post". since self-posts (regardless of which community they're in) link to another kbin page, they get shown in /d/kbin.social
If, howerver, the original post on lemmy.ml was a link to some other site, for example to google.com, then I would not see this on /d/kbin.social, but on /d/lemmy.ml and /d/google.com
/d/lemmy.ml will show the earlier case as well (since it was in a lemmy.ml community). but yes /d/google.com would also show it I think since the linked url is google.
But in this case, what would I see in the brackets? (lemmy.ml) or (google.com)?
The brackets show where you go if you click the link. for self posts, you go to the thread here on kbin (if you're using kbin.social). for links, you go to the link.
