Hi everyone, As the title says our Miele W1 Classic seems broken with the message UP- being shown on the display. I found another post saying it is an update and to press the start button but the controls are completely dark except for this message. Does anyone know why or what this is? Thank you.
Update: The problem was fixed. How is a bit unclear though. We opened up the top and removed the circuit board behind the display without unplugging it, wiggled all visible plugs and performed some percussive maintenance on all other visible electronic boxes. We then reassembled it and the display worked normally but the touchscreen didn’t. Apparently because we accidentally unplugged it so we opened it again and fixed the ribbon cable. Now everything works better than before with full touchscreen functionality that (which was only partial and spotty before. Also there was some slight corrosion on the top left side of the board next to the detergent drawer thingy, seems like a constructional oversight since there is no protection against spills at all.
Wanted to post it here anyway as a duplicate of my r/Miele post since I couldn’t find anything on this and maybe someone with the same problem will find this.
What's currently the distinction between these? I created a magazine and wanted to add a welcome sticky (Reddit style) but that ended up on the microblog. But you can't sticky those for some reason. But I also can't find how to create a thread with just text from the drop down menu. Can someone explain the differences and why they are there?

@lol3droflxp When adding a new thing like from the + menu, the "Add new post" is for only the microblogs. Everything else will be made as a thread. If you want to make a text-only thread, choose "Add new article". As to why it is how it is, I am probably not the right person to answer that, sorry! :)
This is a magazine I created since insects are a passion of mine as is photography. I really liked the corresponding communities on reddit so I thought it would be nice to have something like this for /kbin as well. Feel free to post nice images of insects, your own or ones you found online. Please try to avoid reposts though if its not your own image and give credit.
I will also be allowing other arthropods, if it gets out of hand (I don't expect much traffic though, lol) I might restrict it.
Other than that, follow the rules of course, have fun and feel free to ask if something is unclear.
So I've been able to successfully post on a feddit forum, however I saw that someone commented there and I did never receive that comment here on kbin. Is that a bug, do I need to wait or does it not work this way? Thx.
Hallo miteinander, eigentlich sollte es ja gut funktionieren im Fediverse auf andere instances zuzugreifen. Ich hab einfach keine lust mehr auf Reddit und deshalb würde ich lieber hier unterwegs sein. Ich habe mir kbin.social als Startpunkt ausgesucht weil ich gutes gehört habe aber irgendwie schaffe ich es nicht wirklich auf andere Communities zuzugreifen. Ich habe jetzt de_EDV rausgesucht um zu testen ob ich überhaupt mit anderen interagieren kann. Würde es sich lohnen mir lieber einen feddit.de Account zu machen ind Ann man diesen Post überhaupt sehen?
