I put (save-place-mode 1) in my config file, but it doesn't seem to be working. I'm using emacs 29 for native wayland support. Also tried some of the older commands but had no luck. Has anyone been able to use save-place-mode in 29? I tried enabling it via the dropdown in the toolbar too, but after restarting emacs the setting...
LibreOffice is preinstalled in Pop OS, and as someone who loves the idea of FOSS I want to use it, but inevitably I just use Google docs or Office Online. Is it really worth learning? Has anyone successfully incorporated it into your workflow?
It probably goes against the philosophy or whatever of FOSS or Lemmy itself, but why not be a little evil so that you can actually sustain yourself? Donations can bring us far, but small non-intrusive ads can be a bliss in the skies for the people actually hosting the instance. Especially if there are millions of users uploading...
