see attached image, but basically having the images on the right side makes it so hard to "read" a post with an image, going back and forth with your eyes to "get" the whole post. So much easier to just put the images between the up-/downvote buttons and the text post....
love how people are working on things to customize the user experience, big props :) @rimu : read a lot of posts like yours, maybe there can be a joint effort for developing something like a "kbin enhancement suite"? @ernest said he's working on things, and I have the feeling a lot of things people mentioned/ suggested may already be in the pipeline, just saying, you guys might be fixing things he's already working on. Maybe there can is a way to avoid this?
I'm really not saying that this is for everybody, and am pretty sure at some point everyone can have a personalized style :)
haha and new reddit? you monster :D
yeah, but there's no need to reinvent the wheel. it's like if some car manufacturer would put triangular wheels on their car just because everybody is using round ones. classic case of kust because you are unique doesn't mean you are useful ;)
I myself would love it, but yeah, having it in the settings would satisfy everyone, unless there's someone making a point in having it in the middle :D
I'm curious, why did you change it?
ah yes, true, turning it off at least shows the upvoted number in green. site itself works great with it being active for me. personally would still prefer it to be even more pronounced, like a color change of the whole button for example
I feel like a highlighted basic "kbin how to" on the frontpage would really help kbin in the beginning, I still feel like I don't know exactly how all of this works, didn't knew what things like "boost" means, the difference between adding a new article/ post/ photo is still not clear to me. Just a really simple 1 minute how to...
thanks!
nah, managble at the moment, just feel I'm not the only one finding it not so clear cut when it comes to how kbin and the whole new concept of fediverse works( seeing a lot of the same questions asked over and over again by other users as well), super stoked tho on what this will hopefully become :)
with all the garbage out there, this was probably my most favourite function on reddit, filtered out like 80% of the content I wasn't interested in. I think going to a magazine everytime just to block it is just a pain in the ass
can only speak for myself, but I generally like to browse through everything, there's always some interesting things popping up on magazines I haven't subscribed to yet. I think subscriptions is more like a personal feed and "all" is like browsing. and blocking stuff is- well, to block out stuff I'm really not interested in
images on the left side would make kbin easier to read

feature wishlist
This site is getting better everyday, big shout out to @ernest , you're doing a fantastic job :)...
"kbin How To" on front page would help people new to kbin

images of most common(4:3,16:9,...) image aspect ratios should not be disorted/ cropped to the point where it's unreadable/ unrecognizable in the thumbnail
kbin needs a block button next to magazine names to quickly allow to filter things you're not interested in while browsing
