I was having a discussion with coworkers the other day. One of my coworkers was curious about how Libertarianism worked, and I told him it's basically about civil liberties but for themselves and no one else. Then he said anarchism and Libertarianism were similar and I had to laugh. Anarchism, at least to my knowledge, is about self-governance, everyone has the freedom to be themselves, access to clean water, etc and so forth. I also added that one of the instagram people I follow was into lab-grown meat, and my manager was like "I also advocate for lab-grown meat" Which I went on a mini-tirade that we should all just grow our own food, and my manager said that an anarchist society would never happen, but a socialist society is as close as we could come. So I just agreed, because anything is better than capitalism.
With spez ascending the last few remaining levels of becoming an absolute wanker, it's about time I got more active and I have been wondering how should I be using Lemmy efficiently? Like many I migrated from Reddit and I was primarly using Apollo to browse through my subscribed subreddits....
Not for nothing, but have you tried Lemmy.ml? They are very left-wing (apologies if that's not your thing) Mostly socialist I wanna say. Great community and various topics to choose from, for discussion.

I was naive enough to get into the crypto games, because I was hoping to earn some crypto for myself. I wasn't having much luck, and I started to tell myself that crypto was a scam. I enjoyed seeing the web3 browsers emerge, like Brave, Osiris, etc, as they offered a new infrastructure to the internet. Something decentralized, which was cool. I'm also disappointed that we now have AI browsers, which is scary and not a good direction to go in.
