asemic postcard ~ welcome to the deconstruction zone
Hello Again ~I looked at the ash as I drove through the desert. And the calm days, the lifestyle, the at the key of the dark world, and the clouds that float in the fractured skylight as they go to mirage mirrors.
The house offers river views. The first is the invisible darkness that overwhelms your soul. Everything is different. Looking at the river through a small window floating in the air makes my heart sink.
Well heard about a guy named Ramblin' Don
Who used to steal, gamble and grab'm
He thought he was the smartest guy in town
He was in the courtroom looking down -
He's in the jailhouse now
He's in the jailhouse now
It’s a funny word, “schmooze.” It comes from the Yiddish, shmuesn, and before that from Hebrew, approximately shemuoth, according to my Webster’s.
Leo Rosten, in The Joys of #Yiddish, says it refers to a “friendly, gossipy, prolonged, heart-to-heart talk.” No other word, he avers, “conveys ‘heart-to-heart chit-chat’ as warmly.”
