Artist working in many different styles and mediums. I paint what is in the moment with what I have on hand. the dominant paradigm is what was once the avant-garde. Now the art world is oversaturated with abstract, ready made and conceptual art.

I love to make art for the love of art not some jumped up linguistic nonsense. I love brushwork, color and ideas but prefer to create things that don't require three phd's to interpret.

Today I learned that Jet Li had to stop martial arts due to degenerative disc disease. I'm grateful to him for his openness about this.

I was once extremely active. I used to cycle around 120-180 miles a week, now, somedays I can barely move the pain is so bad. I'm a talented potter and sculptor too but I had to step back from that as well.

Knowing that others have experienced this helps me feel validated in what I've been through.

@rasterweb it's really a blessing that you were diagnosed early. I'm glad that it is moving slowly for you. It is a huge adjustment to make to your life.

I unfortunately avoided doctors for a long time, I knew something was wrong but I figured I'd be ok.

@dgar When I hurt really bad I listen to a very capricorn playlist of chill celt or lo-fi hip-hop. New things are difficult when I am in pain.

I will eventually listen but this month has been rough.

my first surprise (shock?) when i got into the professional game industry spaces was that the higher up the chain of command you go (leadership) the more rare it was to find people that actually played, made, or really cared about games. still think about it sometimes.

I will never forgive them. I watched them do it over and over to other games. You would think they would eventually learn from it, but they don't even listen to the folks who still support them.

You should love your industry to work in it. Loving money is not really a passion...

I have been a pacifist since I was in high school, I also believe that we should behave with a certain amount of respect towards each other but some people communicate with veiled condescension. Eloquently hidden deliberate disrespect.

Punk isn't about offending every one. It's about standing up for those that suffer, giving the finger to the people and entities who cause this pain.

Sometimes my art is obnoxious for a reason...

How long before we start trying to cram an LLM into a space probe to act as a potential interactive digital ambassador containing the wealth of human knowledge?
