Guys I need some helping hand. I need some good reading (book/article) on the proper way of writing OOP. I gave a project where we use classes, but they are more used as a package if functions then working like objects. Like a class of only statics, passing around IDs not the real objects of data (this sending SRP down the drain), arrays, generally functional programming with extra steps. I'd fancy even a discussion as I want to slowly explain all that to my teammates
TIA

@djumaka One starting point might be @Crell 's talk about Never use Arrays.

That's the first step into making things OOP in my experience.

Wait a sec there are secret passages in ETS2??? :neocat_peek_owo:

thomastospace,
@thomastospace@phpc.social avatar

@MagicLike Oh boy. Yes!

Once you find them and drive them, they'll stay on your map. They're very rare though. Think 1-2 per country.

@AmyIsCoolz From a dev: telegram promises encrypted messaging, but they have their own way of encrypting these messages and they've never been open enough so a third party could verify it.

So... If you want secure messaging. Don't use it.

My favourites this semi-finale (again in no particular order):

Netherlands, Estonia, San Marino, Armenia, Latvia, Malta?, Greece, Czechia?, Denmark, Norway

@MagicLike It's in order of 'absolute favorite first, the rest random' right?

@michelle Great favorites for both! Although it may be hard to find out you don't have the best taste in the family. 😅

The Netherlands will be in a bit. If the damn green house hotel will appear in the intro I'll be so annoyed. It appears every time and its the most boring thing in the country. Total tourist trap.

We have so much prettier things to offer.

Questions for fans:

I live in UTC+8 (6 hours ahead of CET), so the live shows start at 3am my time. Will it be worth watching it live? Or is catching the recorded feed good enough? How much of a wait is there in between acts during the live show?

I don't have to work this Friday so the real-life impact will be minimal. Just want to know if it's worth setting an alarm at an ungodly hour for it. Getting up just to doze off in between acts would seem like a waste.

thomastospace,
@thomastospace@phpc.social avatar

@chunshek The pace is very fast between acts. The main reason to watch live would be to follow the hashtags here to see others react live, otherwise watching it later is fine!
