A New HOPE (2022): ActivityPub Four Years Later: The Good, the Bad, and the Fedi

Just discovered this recent talk on the Fediverse, and I think it is very instructive! Very cool to see where it's come from, and where it's going.

I really like the idea of extending the ActivityPub spec to include authenticated user instances, where individual users own their own account and data, and are independently interfacing with instances.
