Just a reminder that adding “young” (or “old”, for that matter) in a job ad is discriminatory. Why not write down something that the candidate can actually work on improving instead, and that has something to do with the job you’ll ask them to do?

@elduvelle Agreed. Ageism has no place in academia (or anywhere else for that matter). As an ‘older’ early-career researcher, I find it frustrating to see ‘Young Researcher’ associations, awards and grants that I’m not eligible to apply for despite being at the same career stage as my younger peers. It’s unnecessary discrimination. 🤷‍♂️
