Hello all! I wanted to briefly share my experience modding my Steam Deck OLED, should it be of use for anyone else!...
I’ve been playing through the first one and was curious if anyone has tried running the second one on deck yet? Seems like it will probably not run great due to the graphical fidelity.
I was thinking about the anti-cheat scenario and this popped on my mine. Consider the following scenario....
I have unfortunately not been able to figure out how to load controller configurations that I have shared to steam into games that weren’t the original game I made that controller config in. I click on the controller layout and it fails to load and reverts back to the layout I already had selected....
The Steam Deck’s multitouch screen might be its most underutilised feature. Until recently, I wasn’t even sure whether devs could use it for anything more than simple mouse emulation. But I’ve just started playing “Sky: Children of the Light” on my Deck (which is generally a great experience on Deck, especially on the...
Trying to play Elden Ring on the deck and not enjoying it. Anyone have tips on how to improve the experience, it’s my only platform and I want to like the game?
Is anybody else dealing with this? In game mode updates install normally, but if I go into desktop mode, updates stall and never finish downloading. And unfortunately you don’t get to install desktop updates from game mode....
FINALLY! I’m super fucking stoked but I’m also super fucking overwhelmed. There’s so much more to this game than I thought, and I have no idea how things work but God DAMN do I love it!
Sorry this post is a week late, been busy with real life stuff.
In Desktop Mode there are plenty of free and open source games available, which can be manually added to Steam Launcher.
Seen a few times bazzite has been mentioned, but just have seen another user say they have OpenSUSE installed....
I was recently trying to get some of the 4 player local games I have to work remotely… Some have native multiplayer but with limitations (castle crashers only lets two local and two remote players play) bople battle only allows one local player in remote multi player mode....
I’m interested in hearing both about if you still use the default carrying case that comes with the deck, and if you use any kind of protective clip-on case such as the Killswitch, JSAUX Modcase, or other.
Hi guys! I’m going on a trip where I’ll have a bunch of kids playing Mario Kart on my Steam Deck. (Full setup, connected to a TV and a bunch of controllers…last year they had a blast). I just was testing this before the trip: Seems the Steam Deck’s input is not being…registered on the game? I can’t control anything....
I keep hearing that the OLED version is much better not only screenwise, but also the overall experience. Is it wort paying double the price (second handed)?
Back in the day, as a kid, there was a free shareware game that I played an obnoxious amount of times: Graal. Not the shitty “Graal classic” we have today, (it’s a shell of its former self), but the original Graal 1.4.0; I searched EVERYWHERE and I couldn’t even get a blip more than old forums about the game reminiscing...
Hi guys! So, yeah…Which games are good for a nice gaming session while on a flight? Last time I played one of the newer Tomb Raider games, and while performance was good, it decked (heh) the battery in less than 1h… So, while I like these too, if the flight doesn’t have a socket under the seat I might want to play games...
I just got Deck a few days ago. At first I was trying to sync files (Minecraft worlds, Gamesaves etc) using Syncthing but my WiFi was too spotty for it to work consistently and kept disconnecting. It also makes downloading games take forever, I can download a 30gb game in around 2+ hours on my wired desktop but it took almost...
After Brotato addiction I found this gem of a game, right before the sequel announcement it seems. It’s such a perfect game for the Deck at least for me - you have time to think, the controls just work and you can just put the game down and continue your run later....
I keep reading how hard it is to get this game running. I’m still quite new to Linux. Whats the easiest way to get this game working?
I just saw the ASUS handheld in the wild. It was running some FPS game pretty well....
I recently purchased DMoMaM and the in game keybinds are all messed up. The biggest and most notable is z being bound to move forward instead of W. The default keybinds for the steam deck has w for move forward, as well as all of the highly upvoted community layouts, so something is definitely going wrong....
Hello all - new Steamdeck owner here. I also own a PS5 and had been wanting to stream to my deck....
Hi friends....
