This Haaretz editorial lays the blame for the war in Israel squarely at the feet of Netanyahu, where it damn well belongs:

https://www.haaretz.com/opinion/editorial/2023-10-08/ty-article-opinion/netanyahu-bears-responsibility/0000018b-0b9d-d8fc-adff-6bfd1c880000

CyberHues,

@evacide We all know that Haaretz is a LW newspaper. Therefore it's common sense that they will blame the RW PM Netanyahu, to sustain it's subscribed readers. For them it's an easy decision to make.

But for the rest of us active on social media, open to talk about it, but without any direct benefit from this conflict.... We should be more honest & complete with our reactions - this chaos was originally created by the 🇬🇧 🇺🇸 & supported by 🇫🇷 🇩🇪, for last 70 years. Why aren't they blamed primarily?

Interesting correlation: according to the US State Department the United States has provided about as much aid to Ukraine since 2014 as Elon has spent on the bird site.

CyberHues,

@maldr0id the only difference is Mr. Musk is a private entity while the US State Department is a government entity that survive on Public tax. All ASSUMING American deep state does whatsoever it so knowing well they are doing so in a democracy not autocracy. Because the next moment people paid by them will have to come out on open media & criticise Iran & Russia.

This cloud particle is making climate calculations hazy

Scientists are learning more about “sesquiterpenes" vapors made from trees.

https://arstechnica.com/science/2023/09/this-cloud-particle-is-making-climate-calculations-hazy/?utm_brand=arstechnica&utm_social-type=owned&utm_source=mastodon&utm_medium=social

CyberHues,

@arstechnica Sesquiterpenes themselves do not significantly impact climate change. However, they are part of a larger complex of natural and human-made factors that can influence the climate.

  1. Aerosol Formation: Some sesquiterpenes, when released into the atmosphere, can contribute to the formation of aerosols. These tiny particles can affect cloud formation and thus indirectly impact the Earth's climate by influencing local weather patterns.
CyberHues,

@arstechnica 4. Deforestation: Human activities like deforestation, which involve cutting down trees, release stored carbon and reduce the Earth's capacity to absorb CO2. This contributes to the greenhouse effect and accelerates climate change.

In summary, while sesquiterpenes themselves are not a major driver of climate change, they are part of the complex interactions within Earth's ecosystems and the atmosphere.

White House urging dozens of countries to publicly commit to not pay ransoms

https://therecord.media/counter-ransomware-initiative-members-ransom-payments-statement

CyberHues,

@campuscodi Pretext: Countries like 🇷🇺 🇮🇷 NK uses that ransom money to bypass economic sanctions, to fund their foreign policy. US must be unhappy about it. So they want allies to come together to prevent that cash flow so that their sanctions do impact the economy of those sanctioned countries hard, to bring them down on their knees & agree to US hegemony. As Snowden said, cyber is just another new dimension in US foreign policy of complete dominance. In return, friends who join will be rewarded.
