A new patch for Potatostrike has been released.

Version 0.3.0 adds unlockable Potato ships to the game. Complete End II of any mission to acquire a brand new Potato!

Additionally, Potatostrike has officially entered Beta!

To update the game, simply delete the old game files and replace them with the new ones.

A video showcasing one of the new Potato ships added to the game, called Digistrike. This Potato converts its normal Shields into Rotating Shields that orbit around it. Each shield can block up to 10 projectiles, absorb lasers, and are restored to full strength with Shield Pickups. With 5 Rotating Shields, the Digistrike can negate a lot of potential damage. Just be careful not to lose them at a bad time!

Today's Potatostrike progress report:

  1. The Upgrade menu has been updated to indicate what is improved on each weapon.
  2. The next patch for Potatostrike is nearly ready. I'm aiming to release it on Wednesday. It will also move the game into Beta satus.

  1. A new sprite for Starchless has been added to the game. The old sprite will be repurposed.
  2. I'm currently working on adding unlockable Potatoes. Each have their own stats and perks. This one's called Digistrike:

It also includes new Option settings and complete Spanish localization.

Today's Potatostrike progress report:

  1. The game has been fully translated to Spanish! Additionally, Mission 3's background song has also been added.
  2. The next patch for Potatostrike is nearly ready. Aiming to release it either on Wednesday or Thursday.

  1. Only the Credits menu is pending translation. Everything else is ready to go.
  2. Mission 3's song is being worked on, as well as the sprites of the final boss. Hopefully the next update will be ready next week.

  1. One of the new features being added with the next update is spanish localization to Potatostrike!
  2. You can find the option to change the language of the game in the new Interface section of the Options menu.

@azrhyga Yea I'll modify that setting next week, probably use the same wording as the setting above it.

Both settings are about UI element visibility, so might as well clarify whether you're showing or hiding them.

  1. A bug was found that caused the damaged Potatostrike's hitbox to be larger than intended. It will be fixed next patch.
  2. The Options menu was redesigned. A couple settings were moved around, and a few were added.

  1. Mission 3's second ending and general playtesting has been finalized! It's nearly ready to go.
  2. During playtesting, the Plasma Cannon was lagging behind in damage output. It now fires faster with each level.

  1. Mission 3's almost fully built! All it's missing is the second run and some playtesting.
  2. A few waves were reworked to increase EXP gain and improve the flow of the mission. Overall, the new waves are more fun!

  1. Mission 3's construction is progressing at a steady pace. The first half is nearly done.
  2. Being the last mission, some waves will be quite difficult to overcome undamaged. Expect lots of enemies and projectiles.

  1. Mission 3 is formally under construction. The first step is building the various bossfights.
  2. This boss features a wide variety of attacks. One of them is a barrage of plasma projectiles shot in a frontal arc.

  1. Due to technical complications, plans were changed to only store the highest score in a mission, instead of the top 5.

  1. Made a few slight modifications to the Mission 2 bosses to adjust their balancing and make their attacks more varied in their second form.
  2. Mission 2 is nearly done! All it's missing now is the background music.

  1. A screenshot system is being added. It also has the timer setting from MF-01 Aerostrike.
  2. Mission 2 is mostly done. It includes new enemies like the Javelin, the Carrier, and the crowd favorite, the Stinger!
