Oregonians: I'll be out there next week with my wife/kids (7 & 11), staying with her aunt/uncle in Lake Oswego and Neskowin. Our local hosts will take good care of us - planning side trips to Hood, CRG, etc. - but do you recommend any primo family attractions/hikes, eateries, breweries, dispensaries, live music spots, or other happenings? (I'll try to restrain myself from record shopping, and I think we'll just miss Kamasi Washington.) @mrcompletely@caravan@thesizzler@SourceRolls others?
@mrcompletely@caravan@BEK97@thesizzler when you’re in Lake Oswego, Tryon Creek State Park and Mary S Young park (down the road in West Linn) are close by and both wonderful little spots.
In Neskowin you’ll probably go to the Ghost Forest, but everywhere on the coast is magical. My family will be in Lincoln City this weekend, holler if you make it that far south.
Sorry to hear of the passing of iconoclastic [for lack of a better word] indie rock figure Steve Albini. I have friends who recorded and hung out with him and although I disagree with some of his hotter takes, I’m sad for their loss and that of the greater #music community
What’s up with people who just… don’t smile for photos? What would possess someone to start doing that? Doesn’t it kind of make them feel like schmucks? #NoOffense
