Great evening hearing from the photographers whose photos are displayed in the virtual gallery designed by the IAU OAO x TFOM (International Astronomical Union Outreach & @futuremeetings)! Aside from cruising the art and learning about exposures, I also met a science communicator from Indonesia and we spent a happy 20 minutes roundly abusing TikTok 🤣

Found an old pair of red/blue 3D glasses and thought "hey didn't Minecraft have a 3D Anaglyph mode?" Turns out they removed that feature as of v1.12. You can still set up a 1.11 install (crashy on my Mac so I had to go back to 1.10), to get that mode again, and it still plays a lot like Minecraft, just without certain features and mobs.

@misc When I saw that evhead had spun Twitter out of Odeo, and when he later started Medium, it really felt like all his successes came from just chasing the old Blogger model over and over again.

@misc Sorry that was kinda tangential but yeah I feel like you can draw a line from the success of Blogger.com and its sale to Google, right through to the current state of microblog sites and services and all the attendant drama and world-shaking effects today.
