Listening to 'Angel Of Retribution' by Judas Priest.

Strangely, the opening track Judas Rising was one of the first songs that really sold me on the band.

This was because it was the first track on the Judas Priest Essentials compilation which was my first Priest CD that I bought.

It's got all the quintessential Priest ingredients, with maybe the 'drama' turned up to 11.

I love Judas Priest but Lochness (no idea why they spelled it like that on the album) is among my least favourite of theirs. I find the chorus so cringe... Still better than most other metal music 🤘😉

Good morning people of the Fediverse!

Today we have a public holiday here in 🇦🇹.
Ahead of us lies a 200km trip into the depths of the . My kid already requested as road music so I guess we're doing a double feature.

Then awaits! This is where 10yo me got t-shirts (Bret Heart 💘), toy tractors and where I bought 10 (on CD of course).

  1. Had a lot of fun today with my kid, we were out and about on our bikes and petted some cute sheep.
  2. The weather was really nice today. We had lunch on our new terrace.
  3. I enjoyed every second in our garden, even the weeding.

Only YT music I am afraid. In case you are interested regardless, I have a link to my well curated "Heavy" playlist that starts with heavy metal classics but soon branches out into a wide variety of metal genres.

So today we bought a school bag for our kid. He'll start school next year so you could say that this was early.
But the bag was "just" 70€ reduced from 250.
250 Euros for a kids school bag.

And everyone I know buys them.

Same with these ridiculously priced Woom bikes.

Apparently parents are easy to milk, because who doesn't want the best for their kids, right?

Well sucks for our kid that I am not willing to pay stupidity tax.
He learned riding the bike on a cheap one last year just fine.

My first school bag was a Knight Rider one. It was basically a box with straps. Simpler times...

Nowadays all parents will tell you "you have to get <insert massively overpriced thing here>, it is so good for the kid".

True, they are light AF. But as I wrote, our son didn't need longer to learn how to ride a bike without support wheels.
And now he can easily switch bikes with his friends whereas they have trouble riding his "heavy" bike🤭
