Copying numerous releases to # Faircamp for a try: Check out https://fc.kliklak.net eventually.

After all every day is BandcampFriday on ;)

And the fact, that Bandcamp got bought by a leading industry music licensing shark, helps this move, i guess.

Did anyone's switch to a mode, which would only allow logged-in users to listen?

Mine at open.audio did this...

Thanks for any .

77 hours of travel time, Berlin to due to cyclone Belal. Uh la la. View in earlier today. Dramatic looking, however it's a lush, friendly climate, and locals seem mostly happy about relatively barable cyclone damage. First time here.

Relatedly say you had recorded a live set from the desk and from the room (camera mic), and wanted to mix the best of both worlds - clean sound with some room feel (including cheering at the end).. Any tips?

jayrope,

@yaxu were desk and mics recorded on the same device? Hopefully so.

Released on 12" via Fluessig Records, Berlin: Wichtige Hinweise, composed and played on modular snyths by nkls and myself between 2019 and 2023.

https://fluessig.bandcamp.com/album/wichtige-hinweise

The album illustrates an ongoing conversation nkls and i have since several years about miniatures a musical lifeforms.
It's as brief and as pure as it can get, the pieces are transmutational and are produced without any additional deliberate listener pleasing (such as concert reverb ;)

Berliners can pick up a 12" with me directly for a pre-xmas price of 15€. Please contact via @jrp or jayrope.com/cntct/

Mastering engineers should offer a (less expensive) service where they listen to your track and just describe in words what they would do if they were mastering it. Basically ears for hire.

Does anyone do this?

jayrope,

@williamfields I suppose, that exact wording will be a big source of trouble there, as there is hardly a way to describe music reliably between two humans already. Body, depth, width, air? (What words do you use?

Looking for Central American and South American experimental music, off the dance charts, avantgarde, noise, abstract, percussive, electronic, acoustic, all good.

Any Tips?

jayrope, to random

Anybody playing ?
I'd need some advice on beginner models.
Are those cheap instruments, such as

https://www.thomann.de/intl/startone_scl_25_bb_clarinet.htm
or
https://www.musicstore.de/de_DE/EUR/Monzani-MZCL-133B/art-BLA0003940-000

of any value? My idea is to start rehearsing with one of those, replace the mouthpiece (with a Rico C5 or so, how to measure the size?)
-> and later go Yamaha or so?
Does that make sense?
Thanks much in advance.

jayrope,

@melocipede Thank you very much, excellent advice. Was in fact asking for a friend more than for myself. Her budget is limited, so if we don't find a used Yamaha or so she'd probably still use a Thomann thing and a 4c Yamaha mouthpiece just to start with. But yes, i do play there instruments and of course i know, that the initial quality of an instrument majorly contributes to you playing for a long time or give up after a short time.

jayrope,

@peter_ulbrich Thank you :) Would a Yamaha YCL35 do it?

I am starting a more luxurious version of a related group on my Hubzilla.

It is intended for professionals and experienced users from realms of serious (not just dry) contemporary, experimental, avantgarde, passionate music making & composition.
Various related styles included, of course.

If that sounds good, please proceed here: @pd

Upon arrival, please read the pinned post at the top.
