Honestly sounds like a great idea. MCTS is so necessary for so many people, and it feels like it’s constantly existentially threatened. Anything to mature the system is good in my boom.

Kettle cooked, salt and vinegar, brand is secondary, but I’m partial to Kruncher’s

Arizer Air Max. Love the thing. Love packing one of the pods beforehand and just having it ready to go.

For me, Starbound was 3 decent-but-not-great games that were in no way cohesive.

Exploration, building, and RPG/quests

Exploration was a big selling point for the game. I think we were all still enamored with the randomly generated planets idea from Minecraft, but it was fairly engaging for far longer than it had any right to be. Interesting POIs, nearly endless supplies of weapons and gear. It fell short when it came to enemies, but apart from that it was impressive.

Building was really interesting too. It built on Terarria in a way that allowed you to make anything from an underground space bunker to a castle. Unfortunately, there was so many building items that you would end up just using the pixel printer if that’s what you wanted to do, and would kind of ignore the exploration aspect. It also really didn’t make sense to build anything when you could customize your ship.

And then the quests. I was so disappointed with the story and quest system. Every story based area existed in some kind of pocket dimension that was totally separate from the universe you’re jumping around, so it feels like the open world is intrinsically limited in how interesting it can be, since you know anything really important has to be immediately teleported to.

It was difficult to focus on all of these aspects, since they were deep enough to be interesting, but couldn’t stand on their own, so you found yourself only dipping your toes into each area and leaving fairly unsatisfied.

I fear you’re giving them too much credit.

I hear this often, and I fail to understand why anyone would need to defend male circumcision in the first place. Why must we continue to perform male circumcision and ban female circumcision? Couldn’t both just be banned?

I haven’t played a new Bethesda game since Skyrim came out in 2011. So I went into starfield expecting Skyrim in space. I knew it would rely on more radiant randomly generated systems. I knew it wasn’t going to have entire planets. Based off my expectations, I believe they have all been met. I’ll probably log a ton of hours into the game. Was it overpriced? Maybe. But I don’t really buy new games all that often, so it’s hard for me to say.

I hope all the writers who support this lawsuit understand that they are contributing to a long standing effort to outlaw libraries in general. Nobody makes direct money off of sharing things. Get ready for DRM involved in every single thing that you do.

I agree it was stupid. I just know that media companies are foaming at the mouth to use this decision to destroy online lending all together. And many writers are being tricked into thinking this will somehow help them. It won’t. This will help Amazon. People renting your book from the internet archive is not why you’re failing to make money.

I really hope WI Dems play hardball with these facists. Being “the adult in the room” got us Trump. It’s time for a proactive strategy.

I think that completely depends on your definition of wood.

Happy Pizza (Extra Happy) (i.imgur.com)

I had this last week from the only Happy Pizza place left in Siem Reap, Cambodia. Me and my fiancé split a medium with 3 extra scoops of happy for $14 USD. After we got back got the hotel, we both almost fell asleep until I had to wonderful idea to go and get messages. When we started to lay down and the girls started to rub...

As far as I understand, Lemmy doesn't store that information anywhere. Kbin does however. It's on of the reasons I decided to move to Lemmy instead of Kbin.

I always thought UBI was not as good as just decommodifying food, housing, and whatever else.
