@djotaku @diji I went there when I was in Pittsburgh for a conference last year and it was so good! A cozy space that fits decent sized groups, too.

10 years ago today, I ran my first half marathon! It was one of the best days of my life because I never thought I'd be able to run one. (And now I've run two!)

I've owned my domain name for 24 years and it's always bothered me that it's a .org domain and that it's hyphenated. So, this weekend I might FINALLY update my site to use aubreysambor.com and forward star-shaped.org to that. Let's see how this goes…

@anniegreens I actually think design and front end in Drupal have moved in a very positive direction in the last couple years! Olivero, the new default theme, and Claro, the new admin theme, were built with accessibility and good design in mind, and the new navigation module has gone through many design iterations (I'm part of that initiative and have been to all the design meetings). I definitely think it has gotten better in terms of design, accessibility, and front-end development.

@anniegreens That has gotten better, but it still is more biased toward back end development. The people who ran the Olivero and Claro initiatives were more front-end focused (maybe I'm biased because they are/were my coworkers!), and the person who ran Claro is a designer herself. It's not perfect, but it's way better than it was.

This weekend I cleaned a fountain pen, degunked oil on my spinning wheel, swatched some inks, and wove in the ends of some socks I knit. Crafty maintenance isn’t the most fun in the world, but it’s necessary!

(Also, 10 years of oil buildup is NOT fun to clean. Never again will I wait that long.)
