I heard from an Afghanistan War vet once that all his cop friends didn’t think the public had enough knowledge or insight to understand the actions of the police. There is some fact there. A normal citizen might not understand that cops are taught from day one to fear everyone around them while also being lone warriors against the criminal zombie hoard. The thin blue line protecting white picket fences against the shadows. This is so obvious an authoritarian play. So mad these MAGA asshats stole my punk rock sole.

There was a Climate Town video that explains how the US tried to institute strict emissions standards in the mid to late 90s. Exceptions were given to all work trucks because it would make them too expensive for small farms. This led to car companies leaning into that form factor, and now the Yank Tanks are ubiquitous and infecting the rest of the world.

His cult does not care. They feel they are the only rightful inheritors of the USA. They want to punish everyone who has ever even slightly inconvenienced them or their sensibilities. They are angry at all the poor life choices they made and need someone to offload that guilt. Almost every GOP slob I have met is so angry about things that only have the thinnest of understanding. Usually, just repeating things that some guy on TV has screamed at them for weeks and weeks. They don’t even recognize the other 2/3rds of citizens as real Americans. It’s a sickness that will not end well.
