"The confusion with parsnips can be fatal as C. maculata is extremely poisonous. It is considered to be North America's most toxic native plant."
"The chief poison is cicutoxin, an unsaturated aliphatic alcohol that is most concentrated in the roots. Upon human consumption, nausea, vomiting, and tremors occur within 30–60 minutes, followed by severe cramps, projectile vomiting, and convulsions."
Also my co-workers and conservative family love to say it whenever a Republican does something illegal or immoral. It's a scape goat they throw out when they get backed into a corner and can't face the fact that they're wrong.
Broader adoption of keeping cats safe at home would have large benefits for cat welfare, human health, local wildlife and even the economy. So, should cat owners be required to keep their pets contained to their property?...
Cats are to tigers as dogs are too wolves. They all would like to roam around freely. We don't generally want people to let their dogs roam though.
I have a cat and a dog. The dog gets to go out unsupervised for short periods, but he digs so I mostly go outside with him. I take the cat out several times a day and she wishes I'd let her out more. But I don't want her killing stuff so I make sure she has plenty of toys and entertainment inside too.

It makes me think Putin doesn't actually have anything on Trump and the other Russia loving Republicans. They just really like him and are envious of his authoritarian regime.
That's what I'm thinking too. Because to say that Putin has something on Trump at this point, is in some ways taking agency away from Trump. But I think Trump and the other Putin lovers are terrible enough people on their own. He doesn't need to have any dirt on them, they just want to work with him because they think he's doing well for himself, and they want that kind of power too. It feels like a much simpler explanation.
I think if your friends are coming to you and asking for help, then you're in the clear. Part of being a know-it-all/mansplaining, is that nobody asked and they decided they needed to bestow that information onto others.

Beautiful poem, thanks for sharing. How about one about sprouting seeds?
I work at a wholesale perennial grower, normally just doing plant care. But this week I've been running the vacuum seed machine. Every time I take trays out to the greenhouse I get to walk through the millions of seedlings and it's just had me giddy all week.
It's two parts. One: It means one side of the party is completely out of the action and waiting for the action to come back to them. This can be mitigated by jumping back and forth, but that's hell for a DM.
Two: The DM has probably prepped all the encounters for the whole party. Most groups I've played in like to have real risk of character death, so in no way as the DM am I going to scale down the encounter, unless I really think it's going to ruin everyone's fun.
That said it's more of a trope. It's generally I'll advised, but if the party has a sneaky character who always wants to infiltrate a place before the party goes in, I'll plan ahead for that.
To add to the point of cheaper versions. Best buy does this and those items will have a different SKU. They also don't bother to take the regular version off their website, so you can check it against that. From what I remember when my ex worked there, it was a combination of removing features/ports, and lower quality control.
This article is misleading. If a car crash is bad enough that it damages the frame of a car, it's going to get totalled anyway. So either way it's going to go to a junk yard and get slowly parted out.

The color is associated with the toxin if it’s not actually the toxin itself. You can eat (after boiling and draining the water repeatedly) the leaves of a young plant before the stems start turning colors. They used to eat them during the Great Depression because they grow so easy.

Phytolacca Americana, or Pokeweed, is a herbaceous plant up to 2.5 meters tall, and native to North America. The plant is very toxic to mammals, especially the berries. Due to the risk from the toxins, and its density of growth, it is considered a pest.
