I preregistered for Love and Deepspace because I absolutely love how cheesy its romantic combat elements look (and just the overall graphics!! didn't think it'd get localized), but I have no idea how my phone will even be able to run it lol. I should get a new phone sometime next year, but don't want to wear it out either... https://loveanddeepspace.infoldgames.com/#otome#otomeGame
@lethe If you are looking for a spot to talk about otome on the Fediverse, I have been pretty much unofficially keeping @otomegames alive, albeit under a different account with a very similar username. If you have found a functional place for doing so on the Fediverse, please let me know! We used to have a small amount of people and then they all seemed to become inactive around the same time :(
I did not preregister for this one because honestly, not too into the 3D graphics. They look a little odd to me. Not quite unrealistic or uncanny valley or creepy, but still not quite there. I am also incredibly wary of traditional mobile monetization mechanics that gate you behind a stamina system or tickets or whatever: I am a pay-once-and-play person, maybe with some reasonable DLC for extra story content later. But I am happy that it has more gameplay than just reading and making choices. I enjoy just reading and making choices but I also like regular gameplay. I hope Love and Deepspace's choice to include more traditional video game gameplay (and Jack Jeanne's choice to include rhythm game gameplay) encourages more otome to include more traditional gameplay in the future. After all, I got into video games before otome. I hope you end up enjoying Love and Deepspace!
#otoge#otomeGame Haven't had much time for gaming this year, but recently played the #otome VN #JackJeanne directed by Ishida (of Tokyo Ghoul fame). Breathtaking, atypical CGs and impressive budget tbh, but I was underwhelmed by the writing and format overall.
The script and chara development across the various stage performances were entertaining, but everything was so bloated, all the more so due to the daily stat-raising that didn't add ANYTHING to the game, let alone the story, at all.
I'm playing this #otome route where the side couple looks to be the non-dateable guy I wanted and my figurative older sister showing up like it's a double date and having lover's quarrels every time right in front of me like OMG I WANT THAT GUY NOT THIS GUY STOP DOING THIS
I'm playing Winter's Wish, Tojo route and I kind of have mixed feelings about it bc of its length??? Like the romance stuff is kinda cute, I think its neat she falls for him first and kind of builds the relationship and how unaware he is (my jam) but omg I guess I just am so over it when it becomes a "he's treating me like kid!!" Well, I gotta play more routes before I can have more of an opinion.. #otome#otomearmada#winterswish
Hi, I'm Sage (they/them). I'm a bedridden #spoonie so I spend all day playing #mobilegames, listening to podcasts, and watching YouTube.
#ObeyMe is my favorite game and I'll be mostly posting about that. I self-ship with Diavolo ❤️
I enjoy other #otome games like Court of Darkness, MLQC, and ToT. The other games I play are simple, like Sims Mobile, Pocket Love, and Dream Boyfriend.
I'm also a fan of LotR, Star Wars, Star Trek, and classic TV and movies.
I used to read, write, and draw a lot before I got sick. I still write #fanfic about my self-ship when I feel well enough, but it's been over a year now since I last updated. I use Picrew and other doll makers and coloring games to fill the desire to draw that I don't have the focus for anymore.
Happy to be here @Otome ! I was just thinking of starting a magazine, luckily I searched first and found yours. I really like that it's not just limited to otome games. I love the community on the otome games subreddit, but wish wished there was space to talk about other female oriented games too.
@Otome@kbin.social I guess this magazine could eventually be overrun with husbandos, crowding out discussion on other games. It's just hard to imagine anything on kbin being crowded right now. Maybe I could start an otome game magazine and also direct people to this magazine in the side bar? I'd hate to draw people away from yours by creating mine while we still have so few people on here.
@Catch42 Either way works. The Otome crowd can get pretty loud lol. My reddit/twitter/steam popped up after the big otome groups and I never meant to pull from that audience. Just trying to create essentially "/r/gaming but for girly games". The otome-focused groups didn't seem like they'd allow for other girly games, while general gaming groups kinda muffle out anything on the femme side. hence my focus on creating this sorta group.
Otome fans can stick around here and if it starts getting too otome maybe back off lol. idk. I have the microblog side pull in #otomearmada and #otomegames tags automatically, so anyone on fediverse stuff posting about those will automatically be brought in here. on the threads side, I think it's kinda difficult for even the loudest otome groups to flood it lol.
So.... otome game stuff is welcome here. or you can go create your own group. Either works. it's not like we're restricted to just one magazine. And naturally federation will spread things out a bit.
Hopefully there's people interested in #GirlGames and #OtomeGames on the fediverse? I can't imagine there's a lot but let's try to build a community anyway :) #OtomeArmada
My historical #otome#visualnovel With Eyes of Ice is discounted during The Storyteller's Festival on Steam!
With Eyes of Ice is a dramatic story full of tortured relationships, angst, and cute boys who cry a lot! What's not to love?
