I often wonder about people who say stuff like, things were better when I was a child, in the 70s or 80s, things were better/cheaper/people loved each other more… And the whole time I am thinking that is just not true for me! I have never once during my adult existence long for the powerlessness and terror that was childhood. I would never trade what I have now for life 30 years ago! It makes me sad to think there are folks who feel that their best days are behind them
