@dansup Hello! When I get “this server is not compatible” when trying sign in with mastodon, what needs to be done to make it compatible? I’m using toot.wales
@aegir It's working on pixelfed.social, each Pixelfed instance can restrict this to only allowed domains, so whatever instance you are trying on may be limiting them!
@dansup I just had a thought and tried something. When you put the domain in, it can get an initial capital which doesn’t work (Toot.wales) but make sure it’s lowercase, it does work. So it’s case sensitive?
@dansup Though looks like I’ve screwed up my chance of keeping the same username on masto and pixelfed, I signed up separately and took my own username, so now I get username taken 🤦♂️. I’m guessing deleting my account won’t free it again?
@dansup@aegir is there any updates on this? Both my mastodon and pixelfed use the same username, so when I tried using the "Sign in with mastodon" it tells me username is taken. Or is there a different way to associate my mastodon with my existing pixelfed?
