Sync for Lemmy (beta) is now live for everyone
Please note this is just a beta and there are going to be bugs, but it works and it works nicely. Have fun.

MetalMagg, I’ve been playing around with the different options for Lemmy. This is by far and away the best. I was using Liftoff for a bit, this will be my main.
googlrr, I used sync for literally a decade for reddit. IMO it was the best reddit app as well. Having it available for lemmy makes me way more likely to spend time over here.

armrods, Check your Play Store account, I just did that installing on WSA and the Ultra subscription got restored without problems

I switched from Jerboa and haven’t looked back.
TemporaryPrimate, Jerboa was practically unusable for me. I’ve been patiently waiting for Sync for lemmy since reddit nuked third party apps.
Resol, I thought I hated Connect more. But now I don’t.
But still, Sync is the best one so far. If only there weren’t a bunch of ads in here.

Qvisten, Cheap? It’s 275kr witch is 24dollars to remove ads. Lemmy is free in its self. I have purchased so many apps and services but this is a new level and its greedy. But that’s what i think.

You really think so? I don’t mind some devs earning a decent living off of making an app. The regular web app itself more than adequate, so I don’t feel like they’re holding my feet over a fire or anything. I’ve just got to decide if it’s worth the price.

heartspoken, does a purchase simply hide the ads or do they still run in the background, collecting data and tracking and draining battery?
kamenlady, I read in another post, that the ad library is not initialized anymore after purchasing ad-free. So no, it’s not just out of sight, but really not running in the background anymore. Can’t confirm if it’s true, but it makes sense and would be correct approach by the dev.
armrods, It unloads the ad library, and the next time you open it won’t be initialized
