Sync for Lemmy (beta) is now live for everyone
Please note this is just a beta and there are going to be bugs, but it works and it works nicely. Have fun.
ImportantCat, Is the launcher icon supposed to have a black background? Is this to distinguish from Sync for Reddit, or is it to indicate that it’s a beta? It looks out of place with other icons, so I hope this is temporary.

Imhotep, (edited ) If you pay for Sync, IMO you should give to the instance which hosts your lemmy account as well as to the Lemmy dev(s) (yes Dessalines is a tankie, but you should separate the artist from the person)
I would love to pay for Sync, alas I don’t have Google services on my phone. I know this day will never come, but a non Google pro version would be great (some pro versions I bought without Google play: Folder sync pro, Tasker, Fairemail, KWGT, Poweramp, xprivacy…)
The app is really great
CaptPretentious, Looks good so far. Wish there was a way to copy my old Reddit settings to this one. All that muscle memory I’ll have to relearn 😆
lemann, I read somewhere that this was built-in already - if you still have old sync I believe you can export from there and import into Lemmy Sync
ljdawson, If you export your settings you can import them into S4L
CaptPretentious, Is that still possible to do with the Reddit API no longer working? I assume my settings are only available if I log in. But not a huge deal

If you stored them in the cloud in sync for reddit you should actually be able to retrieve them

tvisforme, Fantastic! Great to see this live and I can’t wait to check it out and learn more about Lemmy. One question, what is the “restore purchases” option for? Does it look for ownership of Sync for Reddit Pro?
godless, It’s a separate app, you can’t restore reddit purchases. That option would be in case of a migration from one phone to another.

drunkpitbull, I love this app. I’m about to purchase a lifetime subscription. I just have a couple of suggestions:
- Make it easier to keep your existing settings when adding an account without having to do a backup and restore.
- Allow it to switch from one pane to two when opening a foldable device.
