We get all excited about lunar eclipses because we only have the 1 moon. Saturn has 146 moons, and people there see moons casting shadows on the planet's surface every day just like clouds. Saturnians are like, yeah, it's a shadow, relax, Earth nerd.

I’d rather read the prompts that were used to generate the AI images than to look at the images themselves. At least the prompts were created intentionally by a person, likely without labor theft, and don’t look like dystopian sludge.

I started playing this game with really interesting puzzles and a mysterious story, and then it started showing me this shitty AI art, which takes me right out of the fun and makes the game gross instead.

It would have been better as a text adventure. If you can write prompts describing images, congrats, you’re a writer. Write.

Partway through a tutorial, when I realize it's for Godot 3 and some of the things they're explaining don't work that way anymore in Godot 4, it still turns out to be educational just searching online for the Godot 4 way to do each of those things. Sometimes a better learning experience than being told exactly what to click on.

YouTube chose today as the day that I am no longer allowed to watch videos with an ad blocker, which means today is the day that I learn about FreeTube and install it, and oh my god, it is so surreal to see every video from everyone I subscribe to, in reverse chronological order by upload time. 🤯

@JPK_elmediat It hasn't been doing much on youtube for me, but Adblock Plus seemed to do the trick until recently, and then today I think one or both of them updated and now the youtube site is temporarily usable again, but I'm glad for FreeTube for when the ad-blocker-blocker tech changes again.

I saw someone refer to pre-Covid times as “before the current pandemic” instead of “before the pandemic” and I’m absolutely determined to adopt this practice.

Saying “before the pandemic” makes it sound like the speaker may believe that Covid is over, when it is very much as bad as it’s ever been.

Today's game design tip: come up with an interesting way to counteract this extremely common problem.

I don't think this has one single "best" solution, so find one that fits your game!

@Nifflas Squardle.app does a good job with this. After 50% you get hints for the rest. After 75% you get even more hints, plus additional extra hints you can turn on if you want.
