I just voted in the 🇪🇺 #European #Elections for the first time in France and boy do I have notes. French people, do you always vote like this?!

Positive: at 8am the polls were already busy with queues. My past experience is voting in a small town in Germany where you walk in and out in 5 minutes, so I can't compare voting in a larger city to that.

However, I imagine the process with ID check, voter lookup, signature, stampig of voting card isn't helping. (1/5)

What's worse, in the last 10 years I've voted by mail in Germany - a process which DOES NOT EXIST in France. At best you can vote by proxy 😮 That’s bizarre, to be honest.

But here's the thing that baffled me to a degree I had to go ask for help how to actually vote.

When I came into the polling station I noticed a bunch (almost three dozen) of stacks of what looked like political party information flyers. A4 (about letter size) sheets that were printed in party colours. (2/5)

The good news is that the Setapp version of Bartender is still on 5.0.48.

But it's probably a good idea to remove its Screenrecording permissions and block it with Little Snitch until there's more clarity around the situation.
