Has anyone done events, like calendar events, on Activity Pub?

Basically just use the protocol to broadcast .ics events or whatever is the most reasonable format?

It'd beat bandsintown.com and could actually compete with Facebook's chokehold on event stuff!

I'm trying to mount an outdoor access point that covers my half acre backyard, and measure for ideal antenna positioning.

I remember the Wifi Analyzer app working brilliantly. But now... it doesn't give any real-time data. Could be a permissions thing or bug from running it with my outdated android device.

But damn the app hasn't been updated in 6 years. Anyone have any good tools for measuring wifi strength?

My company gave marching orders for me to check our apps and make sure our consent management platform was properly gating Kochava SDKs from loading.

I never bothered checking why... but hot damn I just read the FTC press release.

My question: Has anyone else used Piwik for web traffic analytics? Its an open source, run privately on your hardware kind of tool. Apparently they rebranded to https://matomo.org/

A private analytics server with Piwik was super easy to setup with Sandstorm, but I've been migrating things away from Sandstorm lately.

Anyone have any luck with Matomo?

I can't wait til I finish #shedstudio. I've had a damn frustrating morning at work, and I just wanna jump on my drum kit and bang out some really loud stress relief - without waking up toddler from nap.

But theres a few (largely cosmetic) things I feel I need to get done before before I finish up with the floors.

I picked a wood stain and I think it looks great. Though I learned that apparently youre sposed to stain the wood before you nail it to the wall.

I am biting off a lot lately. I'm a big fan of throwing parties. I got two big ones in the works.

A Code Camp, and the Neighborhood Picnic.

I'm throwing the neighborhood picnic, sponsored by our brand new Neighborhood Association. We threw one big event last year and got dozens of folks to meet in the park. Probably like 80 folks.

I just got an awesome band to donate it's time and a got our local music store to sponsor the PA. I'm trying to make it an awesome time.

It's happening July 1st!

So I'm following the Hashtag #looptober ... and I think its also possible to get an RSS feed of #looptober toots... but I want to follow it as a playlist.

Trying to think of the best way to do this.

Do I write a script that Curls the RSS feed, and then downloads any media from the toots into a folder... and then just open that with VLC?

Yeah thats probably the best way.
